Gate Update for Sept 8th
Published: September 09, 2022
GATE UPDATE: Moving forward gate updates will be posted on the (1) HOA portal (www.hogansglenhoa.com), (2) Hogans Glen HOA Facebook page and (3) sent via email as all activities and next steps in the process will need to be well orchestrated.
Update for Sept 8th
All the equipment for replacing/upgrading the front gates and controllers at all 4 gates is now in and available for installation which per the gate company will begin on Tuesday Sept 13th.On Friday Sept 9th I am receiving the new remotes that will need to be distributed to each household prior to the gates being operational. Each household will receive 2 remotes, additional remotes can be purchased.
The gate company will be scheduling events to program your vehicles. If your vehicle is older than a 2016 model the new remotes likely will not be able to be programed into your car and you will need to use a remote or enter your code to open the gates.
We are also moving from a 4-digit code to a 5-digit code that can be used to open the gates. This will eliminate many people outside of Hogans Glen from cutting through. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE YOUR NEW 5-DIGIT CODE.
In order to receive your remotes and set up your new 5-digit code please stop by the guard house and ask the guard for a Homeowners Information Form (1 per household). Take the form home, fill it out, return it to the guard house starting Saturday and pick up your 2 new remotes.
The Homeowner Information Form will also request information on each resident's vehicle. Each resident’s vehicle (and golf cart) will be required to display the Hogans Glen windshield sticker. Vehicles without a windshield sticker will be stopped by the guards.
Also, we are now operating 10 streaming cameras at our 4 entrances and exits which the guards are watching. We will also be adding 5 additional cameras this month. License plates from vehicles without windshield stickers will be entered into our security database. Vehicles cutting through Hogans Glen will be warned and if the cut throughs continue the information will be turned over to Trophy Club Police for trespass citations (this has already begun).
Our efforts to upgrade the access codes to 5-digits, ensure residents display windshield stickers, install cameras and partner with Trophy Club Police is intended to increase the overall security for Hogans Glen.
I realize this has been a long process and I could write a novel on all the hurdles we have crossed to get to where we are but I believe we have made the right choices which will result in a better and more secure solution for Hogans Glen.
Thanks
