Gate Update for Sept 11th
Published: September 12, 2022
The Guards, HOA Board Members and the Property Management Company have all been receiving questions about the gate/security changes being made. So I thought I would start posting information that is intended to answer the questions so all residents could see the answers. Additionally, as there is a lot of information to share, I'll be posting information almost daily about different elements of our new gate/security system.
Today's information will focus on (1) remotes, (2) cameras and (3) a change being made to one gate.
First, I'd like to thank the 60+ households that have stopped by the guard house to request a Homeowners Information Form. Some of you have also filled out the form and returned it to the guard house to receive your two new remotes. Thank you for your efforts as this process needs to be completed in a week.
(1) Remotes - I mentioned earlier that the gate company is going to hold sessions where they will pair your remote to your car. These sessions will be announced in advance. Some older model cars (pre-2016) will not be able to be programmed as the frequency's used historically for the homelink system in your vehicle changed several years ago. This unfortunately is out of our control. I have heard that Chamberlain has a compatibility bridge that will allow older car homelink systems to work. I am verifying this with the gate company.
(2) Cameras - I mentioned the 10 streaming cameras in operation and the additional 5 being added. The guards are now watching the back gate and as people enter codes and cut through, they are being stopped by the guards and warned that they are trespassing and will be cited if they continue to cut through. We believe moving to a 5-digit code will dramatically reduce cut throughs if we don't share our codes with people outside of Hogans Glen (more on this topic in the next few days).
(3) A change to one gate - When the installation is completed THE FRONT EXIT GATE WILL OPEN IN TOWARDS YOUR VEHICLE NOT OUT. Currently this gate opens out. With the new installation the gate will open in. A new sign will be posted at the gate to inform drivers of this change.
Some additional topics that I will cover this week include:
1. The purpose of the stickers, who should have them, why you need one on your vehicle and how they will be used going forward
2. New features/functionality being added
3. The addition of Signage and painting
4. The overall installation process/sequence of events that is scheduled to start on Tuesday
Thanks
