Gate Update for Sept 25th

172 households have filled out the Homeowner Information Forms and received their remotes….THANK YOU!!! All the rest of the households in HG have forms to fill out. Please complete and return these to the guard house ASAP.

Both the main entrance and exit gates have been hung on the new posts (see picture). There are gaps on both sides (see picture) that will be filled in. Next to be installed are the operators which will allow the main exit gate to be operational again. New signage has also been installed (see picture) on the exit side to warn drivers that the EXIT GATE OPENS INWARD towards your vehicle. After the gates are completed, a line will be painted across the roadway saying “STOP HERE.” Until then please be aware of the gates opening toward your vehicle.

Once the gates are operational, they will all be set to close on a 10 second timer which starts when the gate is fully open. That means NO TAILGATING and every vehicle will need to use their remote. This is a change from the 90 second timer that was previously set with the old entrance gate. Additionally, THE GUARDS WILL BE ABLE TO CLOSE THE GATES which they intend to do to keep vehicles without windshield stickers from entering.

On Friday the 5 additional cameras were installed and all 16 cameras are live streaming in the guard house (see picture). We are also recording all vehicles that enter and exit HG.Finally, to ease the congestion during the week, the front entrance drive approaching the guard house will be divided into two lanes, “RESIDENTS” in the far lane and “VISITORS” in the near lane. Only vehicles with resident windshield stickers will be allowed in the far lane. Vehicles in the visitor’s lane will be required to stop and sign in during the 7AM to 7PM daily guard shifts.
