Hogans HOA Community Updates
Published: August 02, 2024
We have a few updates for your review on some projects going on in the community:
**Pond Updates**
- We have decided to move forward with dredging Pond 2. This is being done in partnership with Trophy Club Country Club to drain the pond prior to work beginning
- Pond 2 work is projected to start in next 2-3 weeks.
- For Pond 1, we are meeting with an engineer in the next week, who will help us decide the best course of action for the new silt. Due to the size and design (the accessibility, rocks, waterfall, and overall layout) the options to dredge concurrently with the Pond 2 project are both cost prohibitive and very limited. Future updates to come for P1.
- The Board is working in collaboration with The Landscape Committee, who has dedicated a great deal of thought and planning into how the project will proceed. This collaboration is designed to significantly reduce/minimize the negative impacts to the community and residents. That being said there will be some damage done to sidewalks, some traffic congestion issues, and the presence of messy roads during the project.
**Cypress Wall**
- We have chosen a contractor to do this project and hope to begin on August 12th with an expected duration of 4 weeks.
- The Landscape Committee and the Board were able to meet with the contractor on Friday 7/26 to review the final design and overall project.
- The decision has been made that the only trees that will be removed are those directly impacting the stability of the wall. This total is currently estimated at 9 trees. All tree work will be contracted to a company the Landscaping Committee has partnered with on numerous occasions. Tree removal will be completed by August 12th.
- We will also be extending the wall approximately 15 feet to protect the area by the storm drain.
- As with the ponds, please “pardon our dust” as there will be impacts to traffic, roads, sprinklers, and landscaping. In an effort to minimize these impacts, the contractor will clean-up daily, and there should be no vehicles or equipment left overnight.
**Guardhouse Roof**
- The contractor for the project has been selected
- The work on this is being scheduled for as soon as possible, and the duration start to finish will run around 72 hours
- We are moving forward with a multi-colored Belmont Class-4 shingle
- As with the aforementioned pond & wall projects, there will be some traffic/congestion at the front entrance. We are working with the contractor on options to allow one side to remain open curing the projects completion. We will provide updates on the start date and traffic flow as we finalize these.
